Help children have a useful summer

194

Not having time to take their children back to the countryside, go out, or go on a picnic, many parents prepare for their children’s summer by bringing home an iPad with pre-installed games, buying their children lots of cartoon discs or countless comics… However, this is not a good way for children to experience the summer, especially children aged 18 months to 5 years old. Playing games, watching TV a lot, eating and sleeping at random times only makes children susceptible to health problems, nearsightedness, poor communication, quickly forgetting previously learned knowledge, and wasting precious time to help children learn a lot from the exciting summer.

Teachers at Maple Bear act as learning companions, helping children develop natural language.

For children from 18 months to 5 years old, summer is a particularly important semester. At this age, children’s brains need to be constantly stimulated, learning good skills and habits without interruption to deeply remember and form natural reflexes. If they suddenly change their daily routine for two months, they will be confused and have many difficulties when returning to school after the summer break. This is not beneficial for the child’s rapid development stage. Therefore, if parents cannot arrange time to directly take a summer vacation and enjoy the summer with their children, they should choose useful and fun summer courses for their children.

One of the activities that parents should not miss is letting their children go on picnics with friends.

Ms. Tu Han (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) shared: “My child is 3 years old and he likes to go to summer school more than staying at home. I myself also realized that going to summer school at school, my child has a disciplined way of living and playing, maintaining the best biological rhythm. At the same time, my child has an environment to play with friends, learning important skills necessary for preschool age”. As for Mr. Tran Manh Quang (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), both his two-year-old and four-year-old children were registered for summer courses at the school where they are currently attending full-time.

He said: “At first, I was hesitant because I was worried that my child would be tired from going to summer school. But after carefully studying the school’s curriculum, I changed my mind. The summer course has many outdoor picnics, a fun English program, and even organized gifted classes to teach children how to swim, play musical instruments, draw, etc., helping children experience a fun, rewarding, and safe summer. Although we cannot take time off work to play summer with our children, my wife and I feel secure when they have moments of enjoying a summer filled with laughter.”

Give your child a useful summer, learning while playing to help them not forget knowledge and communication skills.

The summer semester of Maple Bear Canadian Kindergarten in Ho Chi Minh City lasts from June 16 to August 15 with a daily schedule from 8am to 5pm. The curriculum is designed to be fun and reasonable, helping children develop a passion, enthusiasm for learning and gaining knowledge while still having fun and relaxing in the right summer atmosphere.

Depending on the age and schedule of each week, children will focus on learning about different interesting topics such as: story characters, dinosaurs, my house, the solar system, spiders… Learning through games, practicing not only English but also necessary life skills, children become more alert, bolder, and continuously accumulate useful knowledge through the summer course. When parents register their children for a course before June 15 at the Ho Chi Minh City facility, they will receive a 10% discount on tuition and a backpack and a cute uniform.
